For those of you who like to see the prompts without my writing attached so that you can do your writing practice without being influenced by what comes out of my brain, I am posting next week’s prompts below. It always amazes me how ten people can take the same sentence as a starter and come up with completely different stories. As always there is no right or wrong way to do these prompts. I set my timer for fifteen minutes because that is what works for me. You can set yours at ten minutes if you’d like. You can do all five in the order they are listed or jumble them up in ways to suit you. You can also just pick one and only do one for the week instead of doing one each day. How you use them is really up to you.
Monday, October 26th: He left three hundred men to guard it.
Tuesday, October 27th: He could only hope his wounds didn’t become infected.
Wednesday, October 28th: He was never much of a sailor.
Thursday, October 29th: They couldn’t help but look at the flag now flying overhead.
Friday, October 30th: They never saw it coming.
That should prove an interesting mix for next week. As for me I am going to pretend I didn’t see the list and forget about it until I sit down to write up my monday morning prompt. I’ll see you then.
