It is time once again to list the writing prompts that will be in use by me next week. The order is random so if you want to shake them around to different days or skip the ones that don’t appeal to you, feel free. There is no judgement from me. I only list them like this so you have the option of seeing the sentence starters without fear of seeing my writing with them. this way you can do the prompt and see what your brain comes up with independently. Then you can compare it to the flotsam that comes out of mine. It always amazes me how the same sentence can spark so many different story lines. But what sentences will we be working with next week you ask?
Monday, February 8th: It was three am.
Tuesday, February 9th: Arthur dropped by for dinner.
Wednesday, February 10th: He wandered the halls calling her name.
Thursday, February 11th: It was mad to try and pull such a scheme.
Friday, February 12th: The raw, nervous energy served as a massive stimulant.
Not a bad list when all is said and done. I like the mix of very generic mixed with slightly more complex sentences. But now of course I am going to forget that I saw any of them and leave them be until Monday morning. this way I don’t think about them and try to plot something out. As it is I’m going to have to look up details about car restoration and Studebakers this weekend. Neither are really in my wheel house but apparently in my Fifteen Minute Novel James decided they were his and now I need to look up some details incase he can’t talk himself out of buying the car.
