Upcoming Prompts for the Week of July 12th – 16th, 2021

And so we have made it through another week of writing prompts. What did you think of them? I enjoyed them. None of them leapt out at me and said ‘Write Me!” but they were good solid prompts and I managed to get a few good scenes from them. Mostly they got my brain in a place to write. Which is sort of the point. Not every prompt is going to be spectacular, but all of them should help shift your brain into writing mode and in that, this week’s prompts were quite successful. Shall we see what’s coming our way next week?

Monday, July 12th: The rock proved much larger than we expected.

Tuesday, July 13th: The bag was heavy.

Wednesday, July 14th: The laughter echoed through the room bringing warmth and light to shadowed spaces.

Thursday, July 15th: His list never seemed to end.

Friday, July 16th: In the coming year we would plant a much larger garden.

Those could be interesting. I’m always on the fence about whether I prefer longer prompts or shorter ones. Sometimes It just depends on the day. This coming week seems to have a pretty good mix of both. But now I will completely forget about these prompts until I actually sit down to write them. I hope to see you back her bright and early Monday for the first of them. Until then, have a fabulous friday and an excellent weekend.
