Well. we have made it though another week of prompts. How did you di with them? I came up with two that I think will end up being stories at some point but the other three were mostly just mental throat clearing that let me straighten my brain before jumping into my regular writing for the day. Which is fine. Not everything that comes out of anyone’s brain is perfect. These writing prompts aren’t about being perfect anyway. They are about building the habit of writing everyday, and of clearing your mind so that it is in the writing zone. If you happen to come up with story ideas on top of it, well that is a very nice bonus.

Monday, February 7th: The sea was calm.
Tuesday, February 8th: It was not an easy death.
Wednesday, February 9th: They heard the newborn cry for the first time.
Thursday, February 10th: They stretched before beginning their run.
Friday, February 11th: “Getting this wasn’t easy.”
It’s an interesting mix of sentences just waiting to be their own stories. whatever those stories turn out to be. We’ll have to see next week. For now I am going to forget all about them so that I can see them fresh each morning. I hope that everyone has a fabulous Friday and an amazing weekend.
