Welcome once again to the Wednesday write in. Today we are going to look at what I like to think of as crutch words. These can be words that are so familiar to us that we reach for them without thinking instead of finding a better term. They are words that are over used and abused and are often used in places where they are a short cut to a description. Sometimes they can be useful, all words can be useful. Other times they are crutches that keep our writing from truly sprinting.
