June is well under way and I for one am glad. I’m behind on my schedule and will probably run into some long work days in June to make up for it but it is worth it to see the back of May. So shall we see what prompts await us next week?
Monday, June 6th: The safe had been left wide open.
Tuesday, June 7th: The drone of an airplane motor broke the silence.
Wednesday, June 8th: He was just pleasant.
Thursday, June 9th: It is about more than the image.
Friday, June 10th: He observed it all through a gap in the fence.
Several of those look like they will be quite fun. Of course I always think that looking at the nice and shiny writing prompts for the upcoming week. They are all just bursting with potential story ideas. But now, I need to forget about them. To wipe them from my mind until they return next week. Otherwise I will think about them too much and that is never a good thing with the morning prompts. It is a mental clearing exercise meant to kick off the day. Once they are written i can think about them and play around with what was written. But not before. So they are wiped from the mind. I’ll be back to deal with each in turn next week. I hope you’ll join me to see how they turn out and to compare the different path your writing prompt versions took from mine. It always amazes me how the same sentence start can be bent into so many different stories.
