We have reached the end of another week. Personally I have a very good run with prompts this week. I ended up with several story and character ideas and one of my prompts actually plays into the fifteen minute novel. I am kind of amused by that one. This years’ Fifteen Minute Novel was already an amalgamation of several prompts form years past so it is amusing that another one has cropped up. It is the story line that eats prompts apparently. Actually I think it is just a story idea that has been circling for a while that coalesced from separate parts like Dr. Frankenstein’s monster coming together of it’s own accord. Maybe I should name a character Adam in honor of the tale. The question would be do I make the character of Adam monstrous because of the movie versions or go more with the original creature of the story? So many options and likely one that will be resolved more in the editing phase rather than in the first draft.
But that is not why you ae here. You are here to see the prompts that we will be writing on next week. And I mean that more for me and who ever is joining me. I haven’t taken to referring to myself in the royal plural. I do find that thought amusing though. It is plural because it represents the monarch and god, so the monarch has divine blessing, at least symbolically. It does make me want to use it for a day. ’We are going to make a sandwich!’ Admittedly I’d probably end up spending my day wondering if God likes peanut butter and if I can get him to take half the calories so I can add a cookie to my lunch. Which probably says more about me than you wanted.
The prompts!
Monday, January 22nd: He used the belt as a tourniquet.
Tuesday, January 23rd: Thy had to work as a team.
Wednesday, January 24th: The glass in the windows exploded.
Thursday, January 25th: The book stood open on the stand.
Friday, January 26th: Their options were limited.
See I told you I would add them. Now I am off to start my Friday and more than likely to think about divine peanut butter. Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend beyond.
