Upcoming Prompts for the Week of July 22nd – 26th, 2024

Another week down. It was an exciting one for me. I had a book come out and it was a bit like knocking down the first domino in a pattern. I set up the dominos, or rather novels and novellas for a scheduled release and worked so hard in getting all those dominos lined up that it seems strange to actually knock the first one over. I have actually been working on these for well over a year. Almost two at this point. There is something almost terrifying about watching something you planned for a while actually get into motion. But in motion it is and the first book is out.

And we have a whole new crop of prompts for next week. So, shall we look at them?

Monday, July 22nd: The sea was churned into frothing waves.

Tuesday, July 23rd: He stepped carefully.

Wednesday, July 24th: He took up a hunk of clay.

Thursday, July 25th: Once this was a lake.

Friday, July 26th: The wind blew hot and dry burning the eyes and lungs.

Not a bad mix. Some short and sweet, others longer with more detail. Personally I like the mix. I tend to write differently with the shorter no detailed ones than I do with the longer more evocative sentences. So I like the blend. And Monday we will see what the first one brings. For now, we will just let them lie. Have a great Friday and a fabulous weekend.
