Upcoming Prompts for September 16th- 20th, 2024

Don’t you just love when your characters won’t listen to you? My plan for the Fifteen Minute Novel this year was to have Sophie go from being someone who let her coworkers walk all over her to gaining more confidence and to finally make a break from the office and strike out on her own. Except that she doesn’t want to. She needs the stability of the paycheck in order to feel comfortable creating. So I tried to come up with reasons to fire her, yet her bosses don’t seem to want to fire her. So a chunk of my basic outline is completely scrapped. I think I may just have to send her on vacation. So this weekend I will be thinking through the outline for The Fifteen Minute Novel a the outline I currently have is somewhat useless.

Well, now that I know what I will be doing this weekend, lets see what prompts we have waiting for us next week.

Monday, September 16th: He took off running.

Tuesday, September 17th: This place has history.

Wednesday, September 18th: The river got deep fast.

Thursday, September 19th: He extended his handkerchief with a flourish.

Friday, September 20th: The rocks were sharp.

Hopefully these prompts will create nice and interesting stories. And cause less drama while I try to figure out how to torpedo Sophie out of her routine. Have a great wekend everyone.
