Upcoming Prompts for the Week of November 11th – 15th, 2024

Well look at us approaching the middle of the month. As mages of turkeys have appeared in almost every yard in my neighborhood, I can’t actually be surprised that we have reached mid November. I am just glad the Turkeys are holding the Santa Clauses at bay for the time being. This week was interesting. Especially with regards for my Fifteen Minute Novel.

As you are no doubt aware my main character chucked the basic plot I came up with in the shredder and went off on her own tangent. I thought I had figured things out but then as I was writing a new idea hit me and I think I like it. The story I had in mind was about someone learning to believe in herself and her talents and striking off on her own. I think it is now leading me into someone who avoids conflict has a problem with a co worker that escalates and she has to stand up for herself. It is going to involve a major over haul once it is no longer the fifteen minute novel, but I think it will work better. Some of the elements that are coming now will be incorporated much earlier in the story, but for now I am just rolling ahead with the daily challenge. And pleased I figured out what my MC was thinking.

But for now: the prompts for next week…

Monday, November 11th: Birds twittered in the trees.

Tuesday, November 12th: He prayed the bridge would hold.

Wednesday, November 13th: Ferns carpeted the ground.

Thursday, November 14th: The cool rain provided temporary relief from the heat.

Friday, November 15th: He studied the prints on the damp soil.

And there we have it, next week’s prompts. Have a great Friday everyone and I’ll see you next week.
