Monday, March 31st: The Five Word Challenge

Morning all and welcome to the end of March. It has been an interesting month. And we are ending it on a five word challenge. Fun! As always the goal is to use all five of these words in a singular piece of writing. Think about the words and read through the definitions posted below. Maybe think of ways you don’t usually use these words or twist the definition slightly to suit you. Have fun with it.

Today’s Words: Gilded, Rough, Belated, Rouged, Smile

Gilded: adjective covered thinly with gold leaf or gold paint. wealthy and privileged.

Rough: adjective 1.having an uneven or irregular surface; not smooth or level. 2. (of a person or their behavior) not gentle; violent or boisterous. adverb informal in a manner that lacks gentleness, harshly or violently. noun 1.Britishdisreputable and violent person. 2. Belated: adjective coming or happening later than should have been the case.

Rouged: adjective colored with rouge.

Smile: verb form one’s features into a pleased, kind, or amused expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed. noun a pleased, kind, or amused facial expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed.
