Monday, April 7th: The Five Word Challenge

Morning everyone and welcome to the morning writing exercise. As it is Monday we have the five word challenge. That’s right, five words you may not use in your normal writing all having to be used in a single bit of writing. And as always while some of these words may be familiar to you, I am posting the definitions below. Sometimes I find I always use a word in the same way but seeing an alternate usage sparks an idea I might not have had. Sometimes it just helps for clarification. So whether you are trying to break out of the habit of using the same words over and over again or just want a momentary stretch of the vocab muscles, this is the exercise for you.

Today’s Words: Hourglass, Tabby, Mustache, Puce, Flashlight

Hourglass: noun an invertible device with two connected glass bulbs containing sand that takes an hour to pass from the upper to the lower bulb.
