Another week has entered the books. This week was an interesting one for me. I mentioned a while back, before I went home to stay with my Mom during her surgery and recovery, that I was starting a Gum Road site. I started it and had things lined up to go into it before I left. Should any of you look into that site now, you will find it is no more. I took it down.
After I cam back I started to work on it and nothing was working quite like it had before i left. There was a moment where I checked my head for surgical scars in case someone had removed part of my brain in my sleep. There were no scars and for a few days I was convinced I was going crazy.
Turns out it wasn’t me.
Gumroad fired all of it’s staff and is now running the site solely with AI.
And absolutely nothing was working correctly.
So I closed my account with them and am in the process of building a website solely for my writing (keeping this site for writers exercises and such). A couple of people sent me e-mails regarding the pdf map, and I will be trying to get that up and available for download soon. My hope is to have the new website up by the end of the month (along with several of the new features I planned for the gum road site which I am really excited about and hate delaying, but that is life). Until then, my books are linked on my books page (tab on the menu bar) I’ll keep everyone posted as I go along. I am still sending e-mail responses to the individual questions but hopefully that answers a lot of the what is going on questions.
