Morning all and time for the morning writing exercise. AS it is Monday we are stretching our vocab with the five word challenge. The goal is to create a piece of writing that uses all five words listed below. As always I will put the definitions of each word below in case the different uses spark inspiration in your writing. (and if you want to use a slang version of the word – or even give a word a new meaning, feel free. After all this is your chance to use these words in any way you wish. Just used them Happy Writing.
Today’s words: Spray, Carbon, Iced, Cinnamon, Stab
Spray: noun liquid that is blown or driven through the air in the form of tiny drops. verb apply (liquid) to someone or something in the form of a shower of tiny drops.
Carbon: noun 1.the chemical element of atomic number 6, a nonmetal which has two main forms (diamond and graphite) and which also occurs in impure form in charcoal, soot, and coal. 2. carbon dioxide or other gaseous carbon compounds released into the atmosphere, associated with climate change.
Iced: adjective 1.(of a drink or other liquid) cooled in or mixed with pieces of ice. 2. (of a cake or cookie) decorated with icing.
Cinnamon: noun 1.an aromatic spice made from the peeled, dried, and rolled bark of a Southeast Asian tree. 2.the tree which yields cinnamon.
Stab: verb (of a person) thrust a knife or other pointed weapon into (someone) so as to wound or kill. noun 1.a thrust with a knife or other pointed weapon. 2. informal an attempt to do (something).
