Good morning everyone it is time for our weekly event. These events are great tools to help show your character in a different lite or to jar a memory loose or even for your sleuth to find a clue they might not have otherwise seen. This one Is a bit more fun than formal.
Today’s Event: A car wash
This can be a school fundraising event or a professional job. And there are so many points it can be told from. People having their cars washed, people doing the washing, people supervising or just passing by. There are sudsy buckets of water that can be splashed about or make someone feel put upon as they haul said buckets of water and do the actual washing while others merely entice the cars over. It can be fun and light hearted or you can use it to show divisions within groups. There is a lot to unpack and a lot that can be shown in more visible ways than daily life might allow. You know I love a good social hierarchy on display but if you just want to go slapstick with it to show humor, have fun. You can even blend the two or add something I haven’t mentioned. As with all events, figure out how it can be useful to your story and make it a tool to provide an unexpected insight. As always, Happy Writing.
