Good morning everyone and welcome to the event of the week. I like to use events to show things that might otherwisse4 not be easily shone in my story. Perhaps it is a good way to get a missing clue to a sleuth, perhaps it is the last straw that sets someone on a rampage of revenge, perhaps it shows a part of someone’s personality or past that might not other wise show. And of course there is always a good old fashioned overheard conversation. However you use it, try to use it to your story’s best advantage. You can as always use it in what you are writing now or make something completely separate up for the purpose of practice. It is your exercise.
Today’s Event: An Awards Ceremony
I specifically wide open. It could be a school event, a community one or a work place related thing. Someone can be slighted, or embarrassed, or disappointed. Or a host of other emotions. Including this past Tuesdays emotional writing exercise of frustrated. As always set up the situation and pick your point of view. Then write. Simple, no? Time it if want or don’t if you’d prefer not. As always, happy writing.
