Monday, August 4th: The Five Word Challenge

Good Morning everyone. Are you ready to stretch those vocab muscles after a weekend away? Excellent. As always there is but one rule. You have to use all five words in one piece of writing. You can use them any way you wish and in any type of writing. I have pasted the definitions below so you can see not only their general definitions but also alternate definitions that you might not use as often. And if none of the definitions suit then you can feel free to make up your own definitions and bend the words into new meanings. The goal isn’t to prove you know the meaning of words but to use them and stretch your brain.

Today’s words: Blackened, Lucid, Cerulean, Squashed, Tie

Blackened: adjective made black or dark, especially as a result of burning, decay, or bruising.

Lucid: adjective 1.expressed clearly; easy to understand. 2.literary bright or luminous.
