Good morning everyone are you ready to shake your characters out of their every day? Excellent because it is time for an event. This time, we are going for a small and somewhat more personal event. Something that might let you look a little closer at some of the details of your character.
Today’s Event: A haircut
I know for some it is a regularly scheduled thing of little consequence and others it is a momentous event. So think about how your character views it. Is it a thing they have put off for a long time? Have they tried to schedule a cut and found life intervened and now feel success at actually reaching the salon? Are they changing up their personal look or reinventing themselves? Is this the first time they have chosen a cut for themselves. Are they symbolically cutting off their past or having the sudden realization that they look like an older relative?
It is a relatively small event, but it can have momentous impact on your character. So give it a good think and figure out how to use it to your advantage. As always, happy writing.
