Upcoming Prompts for the Week of October 27th-31st, 2025

Will you look at that, the end of the month is almost upon us. Halloween is just around the corner and we have a new selection of prompts to round out the month. Shall we take a look?

Monday, October 27th: He watched it sail through the sky.

Tuesday, October 28th: The string dangled uselessly.

Wednesday, October 29th: Who would even take such a thing?

Thursday, October 30th: It had a flashing red light.

Friday, October 31st: If we can make it to the church we will be fine.

I know I am always delighted with the prompts when I see them listed out. In case anyone is ever wondering, throughout the year I add sentences on index cards and put them in a box. And then in December I take the following year’s calendar pull out the sentences randomly and write them on all of the week days of they year. Each year I think about trying to theme the week (conversational starters one week, action started another, or even by holidays or events in a month) but the truth is, I kind of like the randomness and I generally find that what is going on in the world around me affects the prompts anyway. I mean look at October’s. They are random sentences yet I have leaned more towards spooky, murder mystery and horror this month than I usually do even though at a different time of year, the sentences themselves may not lean that way on their own.

So I kind of dig the randomness.

Just figured I’d share in case you were curious. So with that, we leave these prompts to sit and wait, coming back to them fresh next week. Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend beyond.
