Monday, October 27th: The Five Word Challenge

Good morning everyone, time to stretch those vocab muscles and see how we can bend out words. As always you can write anything you want, the only rule is hat you have to use all five words in one way or another. Are you ready to see what words we have to work with?

Today’s Words: Fresh, Elevate, Grilled, Salamander, Gripe

Fresh: adjective 1.(of food) recently made or obtained; not canned, frozen, or otherwise preserved. 2. not previously known or used; new or different. adverb newly; recently.

Elevate: verb raise or lift (something) up to a higher position. raise to a more important or impressive level. (of a priest) hold up (a consecrated host or chalice) for adoration.

Grilled: verb past tense: grilled; past participle: grilled 1.cook (something) using a grill. 2. informal subject (someone) to intense questioning or interrogation.

Salamander: noun 1.a lizard-like amphibian with an elongated body and tail and short limbs, once thought able to endure fire. 2. a mythical lizard-like creature said to live in fire or to be able to withstand its effects. 3. a metal plate heated and placed over food to brown it. 4.archaicred-hot iron or poker.

Gripe: verb 1.informalcomplain about something in a persistent, irritating way. 2. archaic grasp tightly; clutch. noun 1.informala minor complaint.2. gastric or intestinal pain; colic.
