Happy Thursday everyone it is time to look at an event. I love these because they can really shake up a story. It can be large or small but for the purpose of these exercises the definition is simply something that is out of the every day norm. I find these useful for showing things I can’t show in the everyday world, dropping clues or history into the text, showing a side of characters that might not otherwise be seen. How you use it is up to you. Just picture the scene, the event details and then use it to show what you want.
Today’s Event: A buffet
I like this one because it isn’t an everyday thing but it isn’t a once in a life time sort of thing. Or maybe it is for your story. I do like that you can really engage all the senses and show personalities though. How you use it is up to you. Have fun with it and as always, happy writing.
