Morning all, we have reached the end of March. And while it is still a writing day, we also have our final character development writing exercise. Are you ready? Then let’s get going.
Task #62: Writing Exercise – Pick a character. See them, know them, figure out where they fit into the story you are creating or thinking about creating. Now once you have them, write about a defining moment in their life. It can be a tragedy like the loss of a parent, it could be a victory like scoring a winning goal and becoming the school’s hero. It can be a moment of realization, a fact that a situation drove home and has never been forgotten. Good, bad or neutral, this is a powerful moment in your character’s life. It had an impact and shaped them or the way they think about a specific thing, person or situation. It doesn’t have to be the defining moment in their life but it does need to have some sort of impact.
As always, happy writing.
