Morning all. I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Throughout April we are all writing on our own particular stories but there are setting and description exercises posted each day. Let’s jump into today’s.
Task #65 – writing exercise- Picture a room. Make it the most comfortable room you can think of. You can do this from your own perspective or pick a character and show the sort of room they might find the most comfortable. For some it will be a bedroom, others a library or a laboratory. For others it might even be a home gym or a steam room. Think about the details. Remember we aren’t writing about the character exactly, but describing the room. Your character will come into it of course but only as reflected by the space. Pick a style and start there. But think comfort, whatever that means to you or the character you are writing. Focus on the one room and go into as much detail as you can.
As always, happy writing.
