Task #68 – Writing Exercise – Yesterday we wrote a description of a place during a normal day. We picked the time of year and wrote all about how that place would seem typically at that time. Now it is time to jump into an abnormal day. Add in a natural disaster that fits the region, or make the town scrub up for the visit of an important dignitary they want to impress or prepare for an invading army. Whatever it is, make normality crumble and show how things change. Remember to get as detailed with your descriptions as possible and stick with the town. It may be tempting to describe the invading army or well heeled visitor, but stick with the town and show how the physical space changes as the locals react to an abnormal event.
