Another writing day for me on the schedule and of course another writing exercise regarding setting and description. And so with no further ado…
Task #69 – writing exercise- Many places are defined by a natural feature. Sometimes it is a river, other times it is a mountain range. It can be the seaside or a network of caves. Pick a natural feature near a location of your choosing. Describe it in detail and then describe how it has impacted or even defined the place. Think of how a small town along the Mississippi river (or any river really) is impacted by the river (flooding, riverboat traffic, then lack of riverboat traffic as time passes) Or a small cabin in the mountains, isolated from town and maybe delayed in getting certain amenities others took for granted. It can be a real place or a fictional one but describe the feature and describe it’s effects.
