Morning all. We have another writing day scheduled and of course another writing exercise. Today is an interesting one to me actually, but we will get into that below.
Task #70 – Writing Exercise – Many places are known for their cuisine. Some even have a specific dish named after them. Pick a place. It can be real or made up. Then describe the dish this place is famous for. Is it a dish that has been exported globally so that everyone knows the name and every restaurant has some variation of it? Is it something you can only get in this place and maybe only at a certain time of year? Is it seasonal? Celebratory? Did the dish grow out of necessity and now even though beloved symbolizes the resilience and resourcefulness of the people? Describe not only the dish it self, the appearance, the scent the flavor, but give it a place, describe it’s place in this town a though it were a character of great importance. Use as many senses as you can.
