Task #74 – writing exercise – Business is coming to town. Pick a town it can be modern, historic, fantasy, scifi, located in the demonic realms, or anything else of your choosing. As long as you can describe the place. So pick a place and describe it as it is. Now have some new sort of business come to town. Again, the business is up to you, but show the changes. There can be changes simply related to money or you can dig a little deeper. Has the town lobbied for this business? Did it appear out of the blue? Are there some who love it while others hate it? Is is something new that threatens someone else’s business? Is there a social or moral objection to the business? Even if the business came in quietly and is generally unnoticed by most, make sure that there is an impact on the town and show it. It can be as loud an impact or as hidden an impact as you want, but show the before and after.
