The 2026 Novel Writing Challenge: Task #116

Good morning everyone. I am going to be taking tomorrow off so this is out last Task of the week. Let’s make it count. Tis week (and the two weeks following) we are breaking out story ideas into a basic outline. While I know this does seem a bit repetitive, it is a really good exercise that really gets you thinking about how a story is constructed. Focusing on simply filling in a sentence in the mini outline can really help you spot plot gaps later on, and learn to fill them before the main edit. So in this case, the repetition is really a good thing. And so…

Task #116: let the manuscript rest and work on a basic mini outline with once sentence for each of the below parts. You can concentrate on one idea or pick a new one each day, your call, (I am using stockpiled writing prompts for this).
