Task #146: Edit your Chapter 20
And for those not editing, the writing exercise.
At the moment we are concentrating on description and meaning. So the exercise is two-fold. You need to describe an item in as great a detail as you can and then you need to make this item significant to whatever story idea you want to use it in. It can be a current project or it can be something completely made up for this exercise.
Today’s object is…a stamp
Now this could be the sort of stamp you put on a letter, it could be a stamp that serves as a seal or an inspection sticker, it could even be one f those silicone stamps for decorating journals and planners. It can be whatever stamp suits your story idea. Just remember it needs to have meaning. Have you seen the design somewhere notable? Does it provide a time line or an alibi? You decide.
