The 2026 Novel Writing Challenge: My Task #148

Today was my chapter 24 edits. It went fairly smoothly but I can see there is something I need to look out for in the next chapter so I made a note to keep my eyes peeled. That is a very visceral expression isn’t it. Reminds me of the bowl of peeled grapes in childhood haunted houses. They were put in a bowl with slightly watered down jam so when you felt the bowl of eyeballs you got the sticky slightly thick fluid feeling too. Off topic, but it did pop to mind. Happy writing.
