Olay for the Task #167 (Nano #1) we have to state our idea. I decided to go with a story inspired by one of my fifteen minute writing prompts this year. The writing prompt will actually come in around the midpoint of the story I believe rather than the start. It has been circling around my brain for a bit but it isn’t the sort of thing I normally write, which kind of makes it perfect for this challenge. Archaeologists go to investigate an ancient town/city site that has been newly revealed due to flooding and rockslides. In addition to the site they find mentions of creatures only whispered about in myth speaking about a mythical creature/god-like being who can drain the vitality from followers and return blessings for the sacrifice via a mystical symbol placed on the adherent. They also uncover a hidden chamber and release one of these creatures into the world.
Not something I usually write, but I think this can be fun.
