Here we are, we have reached the midpoint of out outline. We are midway through Act 2 (as the name suggests). The midpoint is where we hit our intrepid characters with new information, a twist or even a partial failure. It is also where they become more active. Up to this point they might have just been chugging along, letting events sweep them into the story. Sure they have faced problems and dealt with them but they have for the most part been reactive. Here is where they have to make a choice to do something rather than reacting to something. So drop that information on them, make their current plan twist like a Gordian knot and make them actively do something about it.
Task #174 (Nano #8): The Midpoint.
White the midpoint of your story and show us your main character in action.
As always, happy writing.
