Morning everyone. My Task #104 is interesting. I had three highlighted conversations I needed to break out and realized I used the phrase ‘At the moment’ way more times than I actually intended. I think I got all of them. I might have left one in, but that is way better than before. I also double checked that the words I either made up or imported from Latin were spelled correctly. I will still keep a notebook with those words lined up on the page when I do the full read through so I can check them a second time. For some I just need to know that I spelled the made up words the same each time I used them as sometimes I can flip vowels around. And double checking doesn’t hurt.
Since I changed from first person to third, I will need to double check my tenses and I think I am going to do that when I do my first full read through rather than now, even though I know it needs to be changed. It will be easier then. I will also be checking the count down I have in the manuscript as I go through. I will need to put tick marks down to count the days and it will be easier during a read through.
Otherwise I am feeling pretty good with this first run of, well not edits precisely, more, things I knew I had to go back and add.
