Good morning everyone. Today’s task is simple, Task #109 – to continue with our first round of edits. Filling plot holes, making sure the story runs smoothly. That is today’s task.
For those not going through a newly created manuscript…
Today’s writing Exercise – Pick a bird. It can be from the park,. your yard, or an old birding book on the shelf, whoever’s shelf that happens to be. Choose one. Then describe it as though you were an old school naturalist. You can pretend you are John James Audubon or Sir David Attenborough if you wish. But really describe the bird, not just what it looks like but how it moves through the air, through it’s habitat, as it hunts, seeks a mate or feeds it’s young. Take your description beyond the color of it’s feathers and other basic physical details and make people see the bird as a living thing.
As always, Happy Writing.
