And just like that, August is here. As soon as I see August in the date I think fall. No one told the sun of course and so my brain then kicks up the word Dog Days and visions of apple cider disappear in a wavy blast of oven hot temperatures. August, despite technically being the start of the fall/school year is generally the most sweltering month where I live. So I get the up lift of ‘oh it’s fall woohoo.’ and then the drop of, ‘oh no, its August’. Given the weather this summer, I am braced for broil and much time indoors.
And while we are indoors we might as well focus on the writing. So let’s see what prompts we’ve got to kick off the dog days of August.
Monday, August 3rd: The drought stretched on.
Tuesday, August 4th: It was not entirely unexpected.
Wednesday, August 5th: It was more emption than I ever saw from him before.
Thursday, August 6th: It was time to go.
Friday, August 7th: It was a puzzling situation.
Nice. We will see what scenes and stories they bring next week. Until then, lets forget about them and come to them fresh on Monday. Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend beyond.
